2024 has been a great year for Daybreak Productions as we made excellent recovery progress from our copyright incident with Disney. First of all, Daybreak has gained the attention of local Long Island theatre groups like The Sunrise Theatre Company and South Shore Theatre Experience. Our first staged reading was held in Sparkle on Stage in Freeport, NY of the indie play The Stage Within.
The Stage Within follows Alexander Rodriguez a young aspiring actor on the Autism Spectrum dealing with his upcoming high school production of Beauty and the Beast and trying to impress his crush, Samantha Anderson. All the while he deals with social and societal challenges like understanding teacher’s tonality, dealing with bullying, fitting into the Theatre industry and his bossy but yet supportive sister, Maya.
Sparkle on Stage also held productions of Firebringer and The Rocky Horror Picture Show Shadow Cast featuring some of our Daybreak regulars
